Tony Rath Inspired by Belizean Youths at the Chiquibul Challenge Marathon
We love Tony Rath; then again, who doesn’t? Tony is a professional photographer based in Dangriga, Belize. He is famous for his many amazing shots of nature in Belize, especially his unique underwater photography. We could really go on and on about his amazing work but see for yourself how good he is! What we especially love about him is his personality. He is really a down-to-earth person and pretty much everyone in Belize loves Tony and his work. ze representative today. Needless to say, everyone loves her too! But let’s not get started on Rebecca, because we could go on and on about her too.
We were scrolling on Facebook one day, you know, minding our own business ;), when we saw a photo of one of our good friends with Tony. His name is Tony as well so we’ll try not to confuse you. When we messaged him about it he said, “It was awesome!” << of course!
We saw a post by Tony the following day and wanted to share it on our blog:
I photographed the first Chiquibul Challenge Marathon this weekend, and while all the participants and organizers were great, I met 4 young people, all friends, that epitomize for me hope for the future of Belize. Glenn Roaden, Anthony Sierra, and Jessica Salam are volunteers for conservation. All are fresh from (or soon to graduate) from 6th Form, and were spending their weekend supporting FCD and BWRC with the race and relishing in the beauty of the Chiquibul. Godwin Castillo ran the race, challenging himself while running through Belize’s most pristine environment. I was so inspired by their attitude, impressed by their confidence, warmed by their love of nature, and proud to have met them for they give me hope in the future of our country. To me they are the true role models for young people – unassuming, confident and quietly going about getting a job done for others and the country. Well done, well done.
Good job guys! We love seeing young people serving others and our country!
